Six year-old Grant here is a wise and thoughtful young man. He’s reflective and calm about having the affliction he has. Grant has dwarfism. Specifically, a rare form called ‘Diastrophic Dysplasia’. What makes it a tricky disorder to work with is that it has over 200 different types, so it can be hard for medical professionals to diagnose and treat. Grant’s not overly concerned, though. He’s at home with the idea of being ‘a little person’. So much so that his words are reassuring and the wisdom he imparts here in this video can be quite useful and thought provoking to hear for us grown-ups. Take it away, Grant:
